Vacuum Insulated Pipes - VIP

Information

BUTTING CryoTech’s vacuum-insulated transfer lines (Vacuum Insulated Pipes – VIP), ranging from DN10 to DN500, are designed to transport cryogenic fluids while minimizing heat input and boil-off losses. Thanks to their vacuum insulation, they ensure excellent thermal performance, high reliability, and efficient flow of fluids at very low temperatures. Designed to meet the demands of industrial facilities, our solutions can be customized in terms of dimensions, materials, geometry, connections, and configuration. They enable the creation of straight lines, complex sections, and transfer networks integrated into the customer’s equipment. The spools (piping sections) are prefabricated, evacuated, and tested at the factory; they are then installed on-site and connected to one another via welded joints or Johnston Couplings (flanged couplings that do not require on-site welding). Applications: liquid hydrogen (LH₂), liquid helium (LHe), liquid oxygen (LOX), liquid nitrogen (LIN), liquid argon (LAr), and other cryogenic fluids; storage, distribution, and refueling infrastructure; industry, energy, research, and aerospace applications. Our product lines are developed according to customer specifications and can be designed to meet the applicable PED requirements and relevant ASME codes, depending on the scope of the project.
