GAM - Production of renewable ammonia for power-to-X in Chile
Products

Information
The objective of the GAM project in Chile is to produce renewable ammonia to support the decarbonization of industrial sectors such as mining and fertilizer production, or to serve as an alternative fuel to fossil fuels.
The value chain of the project will include the production of renewable, solar-powered hydrogen at Baquedano, northern Chile, and the transport and storage of this hydrogen to Mejillones, where the green ammonia production plant is located.
With GAM, ENGIE aims to contribute to Chile's National Strategy, which seeks to position the country as one of the world's leading exporters of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives by 2030, while also becoming the cheapest producer globally.
