As a major driver of the energy transition in Europe’s transport and industry sectors, France KerEAUzen is an innovative project to develop a production plant for around 70,000 tonnes a year of e-kerosene (a synthetic fuel with a low carbon footprint) for the aviation sector. The e-kerosene will be produced by using a combination 290,000 tonnes of recycled local CO₂ and renewable hydrogen generated by a 275 MW electrolysis unit. France KerEAUzen should also provide solutions for hard-to-abate industries and heavy mobility in the Le Havre area.
